If you like Vietnamese food this is the place you want to go in Williamsburg. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant was covid compliant with properly spaced tables. All staff were wearing face masks. The food was quickly prepared and delivered with a smile. Everything we ordered was delicious and served hot. The restrooms were clean.

The food here is really good, I usually get the chicken skewers or pho ga both super good. I have had better Vietnamese food but Williamsburg is very limited. The service is good not anything exceptional, when they first opened the servers knew me by name but now it’s a completely new staff. The atmosphere is okay, I say this only because it’s usually quiet and the seating is a little awkward, I can also tell they don’t deep clean the place to often but that’s no a huge deal. Overall I would recommend if you’re in the mood for some pho and would recommend getting it take out!

Overall, it's a pho place in Virginia. It's not the worst, nor the best. The pho was OK, a bit bland but better with Sriracha. The Sriracha bottle was reused, I didn't mind that. I did mind how greasy it was to the touch. The spring rolls were loose and the sauce was not right. For the price, it's fine. Nothing spectacular.

Our pho had good flavor but was overly salty and the vermicelli noodle dish with the grilled pork wasn’t too bad but the noodles weren’t cooked all the way so still slightly. The Vietnamese spring roll was decent but it was not wrapped well at all. It was loose and fell apart after the first bite.

For those seeking takeout, as suggested by Nikki, the meal travels well and remains satisfying even away from the restaurant. She recommends the chicken skewers for their delectable flavor which is often a crowd favorite. However, it’s worth mentioning, that while the food generally satisfies, some reviews suggest there’s still room for improvement in the overall execution of certain dishes, particularly with the spring rolls and the seasoning levels in a few options.

Diners will find Pho 79 generally appeals to the Vietnamese craving, making it a valuable spot in a location where such options are limited. While the atmosphere may lean towards simplicity and a unique seating arrangement, it provides a cozy retreat for food enthusiasts. Some reviews, like that of Sam P and Golf P, reflect a mixed bag of experiences that remind us that every dining experience is subjective. They pointed out small hiccups with some dishes but overall agreed that the flavors presented in the pho bring back a sense of nostalgia for those who appreciate Vietnamese cuisine.
